Hey my southern friend Shaun....you get with Kev and Graham and if the weekend of the 16th will work....we'll make it a date.

Some where along the line I was thinking that Graham and Kev weren't doing the BSA rally????

You guys deside what will work with your schedule...and we'll set the date.

Ya'll come back now, ya hear.......The Skipper

If I bring a new set of contact points, OR Pazon, could we perhaps use this as a "tech session" to install on my 1966 TR6? I'll be trailering up, so it's cool if we don't get it figured out....and I'll supply the beer!!! Besides, I no longer have my 72 to work on.....

She runs fine...has had the carb rebuilt, all new cables, and about 2000 miles on her since I brought her home in July...Just thought she could probably use new points, OR a Pazon would be nice, but I have no idea how to set points without an access plate to the rotor side...

I was thinkin more along the lines of some old stale Coors, or that case of Billy beer I bought back in 76. Pretty sure Bryan put those Guiness bottles next to you just to try and class up the operation a bit.

Hey guys,

SO... looking like the weekend of May 16 then for 3SMR? Guess I gotta begin to really focus on this... Lots happening, with folks coming over for the International... Which, as I won't be going to CA, I'm not gonna get into it on that forum page.

Haven't heard from G yet, but Kev, hope all your "stuff" gets sorted brother... Sorry you cannot come over while everyone else is here- but you know you're always welcome at all our houses!

Anyway, Does it look like everyone will do the Rally, then swing BACK by for the 3SMR? I'll just be bumpin down with Graham in tow... Gotta sort a bike for Graham. Ideally we'd ride down, but I guess it remains to be seen how things shake out. With most folks focused on the International, Not sure what's gonna happen... Maybe G can ride Wade's TT? Since Wade will be BSA-ing it to CA & back...

thinkin about stuff so far in advance first thing in the mornin makes my head hurt! I'm just tryin to get through the week here... laughing

Guys ...

Just found out I can't get there! Not 2014, anyways. I've been commissioned to write a new feature series for RealClassic magazine, and it's gonna tie me up all summer starting May.

I'm pretty pissed about it, and nearly turned it down ..... but, well, gotta bring home the bacon an' all that.

I know you guys have been juggling with arrangements and dates to fit us in, and I'm seriously apologetic to you all that I can't now get there. This is a only a delay though. I WILL make it to this event one year, as soon as I can !

G.

Huh?

What better subject for a Real Classic magazine spread than the TSMR?

Heck, you should be angling for RC to cover your travel expenses!

I wish! .... but sadly that ain't gonna happen. Mag budgets are tighter than Shaun, and they don't pay expenses ....

Really disappointing mate...think I'll write a letter to the editor. Many readers will be happy to have you back, I am sure. But what's one week out of the whole year? All you have to do is get over here. And buy beer of course. Everything else will be taken care of...

Hi all,
I've never been to the 3SMR, though got close in '13, so would really like to make it in '14. I need to nail the dates down in the next few days to book the correct time off. It's looking like the w/e of the 16th is the most likely one, but has that been set in stone, yet?
I will most likely be showing up with Richrd, but if it is advantageous, I will deny ever knowing the man!

It's ALWAYS that week, has been so far anyway. If you show up with Richrd, it will be a little hard to deny knowing him, but you can always give it a try. The rest of us do !!!

Paul, I think we're set on the weekend of the 16th and we'll be happy to have you join us.

I hate that some of our UK friends won't be able to make it.

I'm not sure if this will be my last TSMR. I was hoping to hold off until the 15th (in 2015) but 2014 might be the one. I've flopped back and forth on this and know that even if I'm not there it'll still be a BB.com weekend in May in the NC mountains. Every thing has a begining and end.

I'll post more about it as time gets closer.

But for now....2014 will happen as it has for the past 13 years and be held on the weekend of May 16th.

You guys and gals have a SAFE and happy holidays.....Opie

Fingers crossed!

OK, I'm in for the BIG one! Gonna do the International with NoName, Ben, and the boys and follow up with the 3 State. I plan to ride all I can ride, gotta get my iron butt crown back from that upstart Richard, can't be letting a Norton out shine the mighty Rocket 3 smile! I'll probably have to fit a new rear tire at Alexs' in California and another at Windys' for Blowing Rock!:) I ain't getting any younger so this might well be my last shot at the Inter and I hated missing the TSMR last year. Would love to meet the west coast guys who's posts I've been reading for years! See you all in May!
