Thanks David! We were there in 2008 at the same week as practice for the GP, attending the 45th Annual International BSA Rally. In my mind, practice week for either the TT or GP might be better than the actual event- simply because there are likely fewer people.
Anyway... Back to the plot.

Anna....honey (I can get away with calling you that because I'm old enough to be your great granddad)
A small group of us got together this weekend and camped out. We wanted to do a little something for you.....we had a good time and hoped we could get a smile out of you. We were laughing most of the weekend....except when we talked about you. We hope you get better soon. When the fellows in these photos have the time I want them to send me a message to you and I'll add it to their photo....we were all thinking about you and wish you and your family well.
We even had a purple rain fly on one of the tents!!! (BTW..I never knew there were so many shades of purple)

Okay this one is a little scary.....Mark and Don. You couldn't find a better couple of fellows. I swear the hat on the left (on Mark) is purple, but looks blue in these photos. Just like Greg's shirt...it's as purple as can be...except in the photos.
Hi, Anna. Gordon has asked some of us in the photos to send a message to you, and I am glad to do so. My daughter was your age not so long ago, and I had a lot of fun acting goofy and silly with her, trying to get a smile or a giggle. We hope that these silly photos will do the same for you, and brighten your day. We all wish you well, and look forward to hearing from David that you are as good as new. Greg
I shared this with my wife, which sent us both scouring the house for anything purple. We looked over the neighbor's yards, the closets for a shirt, a hat, something. We don't have anything as smashing as Gordon's beard. But when we felt we had nothing to offer, we turned and remembered two little flowers sitting right behind us on the patio. My wife, Rose, thinks they're petunias. And I couldn't tell you a petunia from a pear tree. So what we're calling them now is simply "Annas."
We're praying our little Annas will help you, Anna, on your way to recovery. Godspeed, ballerina princess.

David my friend.....there's not going to be a last of anything for a LONG time...(okay let's hope for LAST hospital stay, and any problems associated with it)......we'll enjoy some photos of her when she gets better and out of the hospital.....we're all waiting for those.
