Where you relocating to? Somewhere else in the Triangle, or further afield?

Lannis

OK, I admit it, I'm addicted to brake fluid.

But I can stop any time I want.

It seems to be changing on a daily basis and, quite frankly has my head spinning. One likely possibility is on the west coast.

It looks like I'm heading back into industry. I interviewed at a company in the bay area last week. Neat stuff and wonderful area, but the cost of living pill is a tough one to swallow...though I guess that depends on how much they're willing to pay. There are a couple of other opportunities for me as well, locally and one in Florida. Nobody's flashed me any dollar signs yet, though, so it's wait-and-see.

Sort of that way for me too, which is why I can't commit to any particular rallies and events.

The project I've been working on for a couple years is winding down, as projects do, and I'm looking within different divisions of this big international company for my next move. I have a couple opportunities here in Virginia, one much further South, and one overseas. Not sure which way it will go; if I start on something completely new next month, VMD and OVBSAOC will probably be right out, as you can't really show up to a new job and then ask for a few days off, can you?

Although I must say that it seems that most people here are surprisingly busy and doing well with their work compared to the doom and gloom predicted on these very boards a few years ago, with unemployment to be at 25%, the dollar to be defunct and us using another currency, gas at $10 a gallon, etc.

I'm telling you guys, pessimism seldom works out that way .... !

Hope the "spinning head" syndrome comes to a stop, and your nose is pointed in a happy direction when it does! We East Coasters WILL miss you if you have to spend a few years on the Left Coast. I had a chance to go out there and manage one of our Solar Power projects, but was afraid of being ceremonially murdered in a Wheat Germ Cult sacrifice .....

I plan on being there, but at some point need to deal with a difficult and frustrating situation in Algeria. My travel plans will not interfere with OVBSAOC...I do have priorities...but since I have thoroughly irritated the people in Algeria due to their lack of cooperation...the risk of being beheaded when I get there may cancel my OVBSAOC plans eek

Geez, it's less than 4 weeks away ...

I really do miss you guys; I didn't make it last year, and the year before that was distracted by my broken A10 which got me there but not home. I'll do my best to have either a Guzzi or a BSA to make it on.

We'll ALL miss Bonzo this year .... but the rest of us can still hang out ....

Lannis,

I know you have a Guzzi that will make the trip. Wouldn't be the first Guzzi to leave there with BSA stickers slapped on it laughing

Don't we have aircraft carriers, Marines, and SEALS for that sort of thing? Whatever happened to "protecting America's interests abroad"? Sounds like Gradall needs to get some good "consultants" on retainer .... !

I'm going to be doing a bit of job hunting myself ... matter of fact I don't get back into town till the plane lands late Thursday night the 9th. But dern it all, I'm going to have the bike packed and ready to head out early Friday morning.

I'm missing too many of these things. As we've seen lately, life's too short and unpredictable to miss out on the good stuff .... !

Jeff,
I've gotta finally meet you.
I won't be there until late Saturday afternoon, so whatcha driving/riding?
That, or tell Dan, Dave, or whoever at the gate, where you're at...

Lannis, I know what yer sayin'!
Gotta figure out who the other poster is also... Names to faces, as it were... THERE he is, yeah, Breeze.
Brett
P.S. A10 stuff needed, bring it all! One specific? Full width rear hub wheel or a busted one, with the bearing guts in useable condition!
NOT the Ariel one either! I gots one o' them already, and cannot use it on any of the frames I have. Don't wanna either... Trade???
