At the very first ever Ohio Mile Landspeed event both Tom and Mike ran record speeds on their BSAs. Tom, on his Thunderbolt, ran a 123+ mph and Mike, on the turbo nitrous A 65, ran a walloping 162+. I'm so very proud of your accomplishments, so
I'm drinking a beer on your behalf. beerchug

Oh?
What happened, other than getting the record???

BTW, CONGRATULATIONS!
Wished I'd known it was happening, I'd have gone down and watched....

Too many other projects going on to remember this 'small' stuff...

Here are the brief details. The turbo bike is just a steady evolution of a 650 A-65. That means we fix things as they happen. Last season started with the new swingarm and added a new nitrous system from a company called NANO. Simple and effective. Over the winter I installed 10mm head studs from ARP in order to hold the head down because the standard bolts were stretching. the 162 run used all the same settings we had for the October Maxton where the bike ran 151+.
Changes to the Hornet were a switch back to the Production class which has to use stock carbs and stock appearing mufflers. I got a set of GP carbs and mufflers and the bike turned a best ever 123+. The GP carbs are 'only' 1 5/32" but they must move a lot of air!! Next stop. Loring, Maine. PRT

HUGE CONGRATS!

Those are some lofty accomplishments with old Britiron.

C'mon out to Texas in October, eh?

Well done chaps!

Good to see an old Brit bike up in Jap bike territory! Glad it all held together.

Cheers

PRT, Thanks. I couldn't make the first event frown but the old a10 is running good. Which class did you run P/PP 650/4 or M/PG 650/4.

Hey BI,
I'll be returning to Ohio in June. Look for me, and introduce yourself. I usually keep my eyes open for any British iron at the meets. Here's a picture of my bike.

Look forward to seeing you.
