I have recently came across a twist grip throttle, but no key. The name is printed on the housing it has FER,?,DAX.

If anyone out there knows any thing about it, or where to find one, please let me know.

The Feridax locking twistgrip was an aftermarket device that enjoyed some popularity when bikes were magneto ignited and had no ignition keys. I think the lock part is a standard Wilmott Breeden British automotive type and may have a letter/number code on it somewhere.Any locksmith who professes to know about British cars should be able to make a key for it! Unless of course the thief brings his own screwdriver and twistgrip! laughing

A neat period accessory nonetheless.
Introduced circa 1951, Britax also made a version.

Hack, I finally got a key made, and the operation is very simple. You are clever enough to make some. If you like I will come up and show it to you.

By the way, what did you do to your ankle??
