I just bought a nice 1957 plunger GF. 'But where are the tank badges?' I asked 'Oh they're wrapped up in newspaper at the bottom of this box of spares'. Of course when I got it back home they didn't match so I need to find a near-side metal tank badge with the wings coming off the circle, BSA, the flash and Golden Flash written on it. Anyone know where to find one?

Also, what should the colours be. I've got a gold golden flash with red coachlines on the tank. Should the badge be a light golden brass colour, with a red background in the circle?

Thanks to anyone replying. I just appear on this board and demand information! (What a cheek).

Umm, where's Bromley?

Nearside?

Which side of the road do you drive on?

Yes Kev! Like that. But shhh. Keep it quiet or I'll get trampled in a bidding stampede like I did the last time a set were up on eBay. V. expensive! I'll keep an eye on it though in case I can get them for less than an arm and both legs.

Hi pooch. Nearside is the left side in Bromley (south east London).

Thanks tombeau will give them a try. I spent an evening polishing and waxing the bike last night sadly staring at the badge screw holes with no badges to grace them. When I get badges I guess getting them replated may be a good idea. Is the original colour a sort of anodised goldy/brassy colour with a red enamel background in the circle...? Perhaps I should get the name of a good plating company that's done this sort of thing before.

Thanks for your replies.
