I have a certain fondness for the Honda disc forks from the era (H-D used them on their late 60's early 70's roadracers under license) . I have a dual disc setup on an OIF A-65 . If I wasnt gonna go with twin discs on an early setup I would have to think the pre OIF TLS brake from Triumph/BSA is a better stopper than most any of the single disc setups from the early days , and certainly better than any of the japper drums(except the 4LS 'zuki shoes ) ...

Rex: You know, you have reminded me that I guess I don't know what the forks are......I had noted that fact then forgot. I IDd the brake by looking at 75,000 pics on the net where I spotted a nice illustration of a 70 CL450. At that "Motorcycles of the 20th Century" site.

That whole front was free....and almost a bolt on deal. Bike is getting close to hitting the street, I'll find out if its scary or not.

I found 2 CL's in a dumpster last year! Also, any Honda dealer can get you rebuilt, I think, entirely.

You might want to keep an eye out for one of those $10 fork braces on Ebag. I think I found mine searching under "flat track" or something.
