Hey Guys, I've been going through the pics on here and there are some really nice rides on here.

I've a 1952, Golden Flash, a M20, 2 x 1952 B31 plungers, a 1955 B31 swing arm and a Bantam super.Here are some picture of a few of my BSA's. I'll post some more as the pics come in.

The first ride is a 1952 Golden Flash, it had a B31 oil tank when I got it, I changed it out with tank that I got on eBay it came painted and pinstriped-I decided to leave it the way it is because I need to repaint the flash at some point and I'll get the oil tank done when I do that.

The second ride is a 1952 B31 plunger.

Good looking bikes, and I love the scenery.
Please post the other bikes also.

Just picked it up yesterday - 70 Thunderbolt. Lots to do - missing side covers, fenders, grab rail, and broken spark plug.

Thanks Donalvin.. working on the motor rebuild at the moment. Crankshaft balanced for hopefully a smoother ride.

Wow. That is a lot of material taken off the flywheel for balancing. And offset too.

Bikes looks good, and that is some LARGE drillings....yikes.

One more trick to the smooth running A65 puzzle, make sure the engine is shimmed to fit the frame. Most bottom mounts need something, some front mounts as well. BSA called it a "packing piece" on the older unit twins, the reference largely disappeared on the late unit twins. P/N is elusive. Though metric flat washers in stainless seem to be thin enough to work well as a shim.

Also make sure the head steady it installed and tight.

Life is too short to drink cheap, bad beer.

Thanks Rich, I will check that shimming. Actually weight wise, I dont think much metal was removed as the craters are fairly shallow. It was more of an experiment to see if it makes a difference.

Yes, They did a static and dynamic balance using bob weights on the journals. The place does a bunch of auto race motors.

Gap,, yes there is a 1/8" gap between the light and fender. I suppose it is not supposed to touch for various reasons but I think It could vary on the gap somewhat between bikes.

Allan .. it is pretty close but does not touch the bar.. probably .020" clearance. You can see daylight through there on both sides and thick paper does not touch.

Installed the bigger stator, and ready for the Barnett cluchpack.

Allan,, just a camera illusion. There is probably over 1/4 inch of threads left.
I don't know how they install big motors in bikes - this little guy was a handful.
