I'm thinking about installing a 2 into 1 exhaust for my 1976 Bonneville T140, I found two options so far, one is from Brit tech New England (a B.B. sponsor). Another (less expensive) option is from Northern Eagle in Ontario. The Brit tech version promises 5 HP increase, but is only available in raw steel or ceramic coated (internal I'm thinking), while the Eagle set is chromed. Has anyone had experience with either one of these?
Thanks, Kev

I've had a MAC such as NE sells on my 650 for years. It's held up well, chrome still looks decent and it tucks in to the frame nicely. Does it add 5 hp? Doubt it, but I like the way it looks. The baffle that came with it is horribly restrictive, but quiet.
The one picture I've seen of a bike with Jaye's pipe on it didn't look great to me. Looked like it didn't fit very well.
My 2c and worth every penny

Mike

I have the MAC also and agree the baffle is very restrictive. Add hp? I think it robs hp. Pull the baffle out and see how much better it runs. I modified mine by cutting the end caps off the baffle, welding them to a piece of straight pipe, drilled a gazillion holes in the pipe and wrapped it in fiberglass muffler packing. It sounds good without being obnoxiously loud.
