That truely is impressive! 4 valve heads back in them days!

I would take a brave man to ride it with all them flames coming out of it! eek An asbestos suit would definately be in order.

Flames, schmames...the lack of any braking is a bit more troubling.

BTW, those guys have probably THE most amazing collection of bikes. I've been ogling them on the back cover of TCM for quite some time.

Coincidentally The Antique Motorcycle current issue has a feature on HD cleaning up with their 8 valvers the following year.
Both on the boards and at the Dodge City 300.

At Dodge City
New 100 mile record set by Floyd Clymer average speed 83.62MPH
200 miles Irving Janke 81.47 MPH
300 miles Irving JAnke 79.79 MPH
