The Crypt - South East England

It’s well known that the distaff side of the family does not always share the enthusiasm for old iron shown by us males. This gives plenty of opportunities for them to aim barbed comments in our direction which are often hard to rebut. After all we DO spend inordinate amounts of time and money on our hobby don’t we!!

Oi Bodger, Spider has been locked in the crypt so long he's having trouble remembering what women look like - so he's improvised - a bit like a bitsa motorbike!

So, wot you're sayin' is, if you've got a Norton, you can't get no wimmin ?

Good judgment comes from experience, but the most memorable experiences tend to come from bad judgment!

What's WORSE is that that's pretty obviously a BSA B31 or B33 that he's working on! This is an OUTrage!

OK, I admit it, I'm addicted to brake fluid.

But I can stop any time I want.

The double negative implies that having a Norton ensures an adequate supply of female company. n'est ce pas Monsieur Jambon clap

Oi Bryan,
You are forgetting that Graham is writing in ‘Estuary’ English where double negatives are commonly used to infer a positive action!
For our American pals Estuary English is the local dialect used by those who live on both sides of the Thames Estuary (North Kent, South Essex and of course, East London) .
So to put it into the parlance, “He ain’t done nuffink wrong mate!”

It is generally accepted that blokes who own BSA's could not get a root in a dog's brothel even with a chaff bag full of bones.

Small wonder then that they begin to fancy others of similar persuasion and depict their fellow deluded as feminine ?

The cheeriest aspect is that, unwholesome as their behaviour is, they cannot "beget" and our children shall perhaps then see the end of them ?
