It’s well known that the distaff side of the family does not always share the enthusiasm for old iron shown by us males. This gives plenty of opportunities for them to aim barbed comments in our direction which are often hard to rebut. After all we DO spend inordinate amounts of time and money on our hobby don’t we!!
Oi Bryan, You are forgetting that Graham is writing in ‘Estuary’ English where double negatives are commonly used to infer a positive action! For our American pals Estuary English is the local dialect used by those who live on both sides of the Thames Estuary (North Kent, South Essex and of course, East London) . So to put it into the parlance, “He ain’t done nuffink wrong mate!”
