Ive seen a pair of Maxxis tyres (cheng shin) c906 front 100/90 19 and c907 rear 120/90 18 at a really good price. IM thinking of using these on my A65 when the wheels are ready.

Has anyone tried these tyres? Conventional wisdom suggests only european rubber should be used, whilst others rain praise on these tyres.

Given that IM not very interested in originality and my annual milage is small are these tyres worth trying?

All info welcome.

I find Cheng Shin worse than 40 year old Dunlops in the wet.

I found Cheng Shins better than new dunlops. Does that mean that 40 year old Dunlops are better than new Dunlops?

Here's a link to the tyres im interested in http://www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo/526175/Tyres/Road-tyres/Maxxis

The sizes I want are 100/90-19 front and 120/90-18 rear which I believe are equavalent to 3.25-19 & 4.00-18?

They look modern enough and according to this link get good reviews, on a scooter though... http://www.bikebandit.com/cheng-shin-c907-scooter-moped-tire
