Does anyone have a good tip for cleaning the wheel spokes for my 71 650 Lightening ?

I just did my Starfire and used a scotch bright pad and some simicrome.

They are a little grey and pitted but cleaned up ok.

I hope to replace them with stainless eventually but at least they are not rusty anymore.

The best way to clean them up is to call Buchanans.

You can rub them down with 0000 steel wool. Grab a bottle of beer, put on some good music and away you go.

Since my wife is an archaeological conservator and used to tedious jobs, I just get her to clean my rims. She's done it before, and it's time to do it again.

It's also a good thing she doesn't read this forum...

kommando,

If I can't get my rims cleaned anymore, I know who to hunt down.
