Just hung up with Flori Gruenwald who runs in our class, and got some pitiful news - Malcolm (Brtibodger) had his crankshaft fail, leaving him unable to race the event.

I'm sure that no matter how much adult beverage was consumed afterwards, the engine failure was a misery.

Sorry, Malcolm.

Way to go, rookie. I think that clinches it for you in the Rookie of the Year, for sure.

Too bad 'Bodger blew up, I wanted to see what you had for him...

Chuck, were those the official results? 5 finishers Sat., 4 on Sun.?

thanx.

P.S. You and Flori get to start dropping your worst finishes now. Top 10 only.

Malcolm can't best you or flori unless he swept all the remaining races, so you need to get on the top step a time or two to get around Flori.

Not positive or official, but I think 4 finishers both days.

Beating Flori is going to be hard, with him running all the races. I'm considering Sandia but def. can't make Miller.

Thanks again for sponsoring the class, GP.

Our Enfield ran great all weekend and helped us come home with some decent finishes. Great racing both days. Sunday was a little slippery though. laugh laugh laugh laugh

Yeah, Chuck, you'd have to make Sandia & Barber, and sweep 'em, if Flori got 2 wins at Miller and all 2nds at Sandia & Barber, to pass him up in your top 10 finishes.

Still, it looks pretty certain you will finish in the top 3. Not too dang shabby for a rookie!

I lost to Rich in 10ft drag races twice. He sure does know how to get that holeshot. I hope someone got a good picture of Ron throwing Marcus' DT up in the air.

Tim,

Hope to have it fixed for Sandia. Thanks for asking.

Paul,

The crank broke at the sludge trap resulting the in the pistons hitting the head and damage to the cams. Hopefully the head, barrel, valves etc and crankcase are salvageable.

Could have been much worse ...

Thanks for asking

I had a really bad start on Saturday's Classic 60's race. Alex was in the second group in our wave and passed me right after turn 1. The up side was that I was able to follow him around the track for a while. A short while...
