What's with the massively treaded hillclimber rear tire? eek

It would be a great look for my '69 high-piper but is not what you usually see on a Spitfire. Some practical reason or is it just in case someone challenges you to a sand drag one day ?... clap

OK, I admit it, I'm addicted to brake fluid.

But I can stop any time I want.

Okay, I'll give it a try...
Hopefully you will see my 69 Lightning, matching numbers, mostly original paint plus the usual goodies like Boyer, PODtronics, oil filter and so on...
Pic is 5 or 6 years old. I'll post a new one, when spring arrives...

Group:

With Phil's permission, I am posting the shot of his very snappy-looking '69 Lightning, but at a smaller size so the whole image is visable.

Cheers,

Terry: Its a 68, A65LB. I notice Brian wisely edited out that photo when he made his gallery.

Skeet: That sure is pretty. I just can't bring myself to hang mufflers on my Hornet. So I try to just ride it on weekends when all the neo-Harley crowd is out, and nobody notices me.

Thanks for the compliment Leon. I now feel I can use it daily without fear of getting arrested. The picture doesn't do the mufflers justice. Just have to chrome the little clamps & brackets. Well worth the effort. They don't seem to have affected the performance either.

Leon: No mufflers on my '67 Hornet either. Love that sound without them. I've got the '68 Firebird for the quiet rides.

Yes Naozar i have seen that one.
It's a nice bike but but a later model as my B31.
That you have seen. It's a import bike from India by the way.
It gives me some supprises with what they have done eith it. They have done lot to keep it running, Some time not the best repair but it worked. The engine and gearbox are restored and i'am working on the frame now.

Yes Brain maybe we are rebelling.
But we hope see more B31's on this topic.
Because Naozar ownes a B31 from 1956 and i have a B31 plunger from 1954.
And we are both restoring those bikes and it would be nice to se how other people have don it.
I think you will agree that restorations from other people can be great help for you own.

...As he and his boys are guzzling beer and dancing with some of the ladies in the bar, one female dance partner questions Johnny:

Hey, Johnny, What are you rebelling against?

While tapping out a jazzy beat on the top of the jukebox, he raises his eyebrow and drawls his amorphous reason for rebellion:

What've you got?
