Hello, I saw your 1970 BSA Firebird and have some questions, if it is ok. I bought a basket case "Canadian" 1970 BSA Firebird. Since the bike came in a box I have no idea where some of the parts and pieces go. Could you please take some closeups of rectifier location, behind the side covers and a shot with seat off what does the front brakelight switch look like? It would really help me, the manual and exploded diagram are a help but are lacking at times. Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance. Is that the front mudgaurd that came with bike - I have been trying to find the scalloped one, to no luck. Jim Sawyer
My FS replica after my final reworks & refurbs have been completed:
a) new single seat - I like the fact that the white piping matches the pin-striping on the tank & side panels b) new front guard mounted with V-brackets only c) new water-slide decals on side panels - a most nerve wracking task, those things are so delicate d) saddle bag added
Previously, I had shortened the rear guard, removed the stay and added the small taillight unit.
This is a photo of my 1953 Super Flash completed in 2005. I have been enjoying the rides ever since. Who says plunger suspension is bad? Just do not use it in a scrambles event. Before anyone notices the rear number plate is incorrect and was changed after the photo. Lloyd L
