Hi everyone, I'm asking a question on behalf of a friend who is doing up a 1973 T 140.
He wants to repaint the bike and would like to know of the modern equivilant of the color called...
Hi-fi Vermilion.
I searched the forum before asking here for help and found a reference to a guy in the US of A who everyone recomended called Don, but as we are in New Zealand it would be a little too far to send the tank to him, so I need a code or a color or a website to refer to, thanks in advance, Barry.

Bazza,

The Don you are referring to is Don Hutchinson, who not only paints tanks but also sells paint that matches the colors used by Triumph. He is probably the most knowledgeable individual concerning paint matching for classic bikes. Here is Don's website. http://www.triumphman.com/

(Hi-fi Vermilion????)
Good Luck!
