Are the T100C bikes all 500cc? And the 650's are TR6?

If you mean as in the 'Trophy then I will say yes to both but most likely painted a target on my behind.

There is a list of the designations here.

More bikes and projects than you can shake a stick at but they should be done in two shakes of a lamb's tail.

Thanks Les, that answered my question. I was talking specifically 67/68 500cc. The trophy/ tiger thing confuses me.

Loosely defined, "Tigers" are single-carb ROAD bikes, with closer ratio gearboxes and low er exhaust pipes.
A "Trophy" is a on-or-off road bike, single carb, with wider-spaced gear ratios, and high, "side pipes."

Both classes have 500cc and 650cc models.

Of course, 500cc Daytonas and 650 & 750cc Bonnevilles are dual-carb bikes.

laughing Join the club ... from the brochures, even the US importers at the time couldn't decide!

'61, what Meriden called the TR5AC, but only stamped "TR5C" on the engine, the importers were calling "T100S/C" and "Tiger"; '62, under a picture captioned "Tiger 100 (T. 100 S C)", the specs. were titled, "T100S/C Triumph Enduro Trophy"; '63 and '64, it was called "Tiger 100 Competition Trophy" ... The years you mention - '67 and '68 - it was called respectively "Sports Tiger" and "Tiger Competition" ... smile

Otoh, through the 1960's, "Trophy" was used on both ('R'oad and off-road 'C'ompetition) 650 single-carb. variants, '62 was the last use of "Tiger" for a single-carb. on-road variant 'til the '69 TR6R.

Also bear in mind that the T100C was US-only variant; in GB and the rest of the world in '67 and '68, the single-carb. 500 was an 'on-road' variant ... called "Tiger" ... laughing
