MAG is a pressure group for biker's
Originally formed to campaign about compulsory helmets, but now on daft anti bike legislation.

I go to a few MAG nights and rallies

There is also the Buldog Bash which is a pretty big event

Hi Wade,

The Farmyard Party is a BIG bikers rally that is held on an annual basis at Helmsley, North Yorkshire. It's basically a biker rally and rock and blues festival. The crazy thing is that it's only about 40 miles from my home but I've never attended the event. It always clashes with some sort of BSA event. Still.....one of these years I'll get there.

MAG is similar to ABATE in the USA.

It stands for Motorcycle Action Group.

(Even this dumb Yank knows that!)

I'd rather be knackered with a rusty crosscut saw than get in the middle of a crowd like that in the name of "motorcycling"!

Lannis (you can imagine my opinion on 'Sturgis' too!)

I stopped believing for a little while this morning. Journey is really going to be upset.

used to go every year, was an active MAG member (motorcycle action group)for about twenty years, was a local rep for a few years Never had any issues with "a crowd like that". MAG was set up in the seventies as a pressure group to fight oppressive legislation.
MAG organize several large rallies and many smaller rallies throughout the year. had the pleasure of going to a majority of them at one time or another, till married life, 4kids and a mortgage got in the way

lots of good times, music beer and mates and a decent ride to and from the site, last couple of times I was there it p****d down for the whole time I remember having problems getting on and off the site, cant remember if the bike I was on was the FJ12 or a bored out z13, but I remember the back wheel dug a hole, as soon as the clutch was let out, ended up having six people lifting, pushing and pulling it to get it moving, then going back for the next one. Only bike any of our mates rode off site without getting stuck was an ex army B40 with nobbly tyres
