I don't know what many of you would think of this but I guess I'm about to find out ! lol

I have been using Avon tires for my Commando for bloody years but 3000 miles out of a rear just ticks me off , hell some trips I do are longer than that and that means searching for an unobtainable tire along the way .

I thought of converting to an 18 inch rear but didn't really want to .

I also ride an old 88R100GS and have run Heidenau tires on it with great success , 10,000 out of a rear isn't uncommon , so OK lets try them on my Norton , I want to do more touring on it and if I can head up the odd dirt road all well and good .

Fist longish ride today , 100 or so miles just to scrub them in . They feel frigging great , planted and true , no following ruts ,cracks or rain grooves !! I'm really bloody pleased !!

I made sure to include some dirt roads today and I gotta say it was excellent fun to have tires hanging on so well .

I'm planning on putting the K65s on my Commando. Sick of old style tires, wanna go for modern style. Longer life never hurts either.

I have a 19" front and 18" rear. Might go with a bigger rear tire.
100 or 90/90/19 F, 120/90/18 R?
Not certain gotta nail this down.
