Disassembly of the trans???

I've got a Burman on my '48 AJS, and I wonder also how to change out this "double-ought" grease...
That's about the only way I can think of...

That way, you'd be sure you got new grease into every passageway it needed to be in upon initial start-up and use?

Otherwise, maybe, if you have a drain plug, know where it is, maybe go for a last ride with the old stuff, and once as hot as it's gonna get, pour in a little kerosene, maybe diesel, to delute it? Go ride a few miles to get the kero mixed up with what's in the box, come back and immediately drain the box???

Temperatures like they are now, I'm not surprised it is rock hard...

Could always boil it out like they used to do with guns packed with grease , in a big pot of water.

[best done while the other half isn't about]

Cheers
