Are the mufflers made in the UK by Wassell & Brituro equivalent quality?
Are they glass packed (absorption type)?

Note: I see Wassell UK mufflers listed on eBay, but I also have a stator with Wassell on it from Asia? Not sure if they are the same company .

There are 2 Wassells, I get confused which is which but one normally has good stuff and the other can leave something to be desired, trouble is I end up avoiding both as I can never tell which is which or remember which way round it is.

If you look closely at needle jets, you'll find there are two (or more!) Amals as well!! mad

In these days of a 'global' economy, being labeled "Made in the UK" (or made anywhere else for that matter) doesn't have the same meaning it once did....

I have found the brituros to be very nice silencers, virtually a straight through pipe, so there is some volume there, but are very well packed with the glass fibre, so you get quite a sweet sound.

thats great to hear, as Im going with a set of those.

Thanks

Bruce

Tim Wassell (the son of the original Ted Wassell) sells silencers and pipes to the trade and public. Quality can be ..er.. very inconsistant.
Brituro Silencers are UK made and supply wholesalers and retailers. Quality is usually very good.
Ironically, Brituro supply Wassell Ltd the wholesaler (the original W.E.Wassell Company), who then supply the dealers, as they have 'path to market' etc
I'm confused just writing that!!
The stator you have is supplied by the wholesaler Wassell Ltd, who own the tooling.
