For the Bonneville.

Looks like as with most bike bits, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Chrome, stainless, vapor honed, cad plated, zinc plated, angel hair pasta, etc.

I am leaning toward stainless bespoke spokes.

So:
1) Don't do it because _____________.
2) Supplier recommendations?

First, molasses has a strong smell, but not a bad smell. If it smelled bad there wouldn't be molasses cookies (unless they were only made in Scotland, like haggis). Second, if you de-rust motorcycle parts in the house you deserve to have your wife leave you.
