I have several original , rough, unrestored, still assembled '56 and '57 T110 wheels, front and rear.

All of them have chromed spokes, yet I have never found a service bulletin or parts book supplement with special part numbers for them.

Has anyone here ever seen a piece of Triumph factory or distributor paperwork confirming this?

Didn’t a lot of bicycles come with chrome spokes? I wonder if that was simply a common thing that got dropped in a cost cutting move later on?

The chromed spokes appear to be peculiar to 1956 and '57 only, and only to the T100 and T110 "sport" model Triumphs - the higher priced models.

I have also seen original '57 BSA A-10 Road Rocket wheels, ("Ariel hub" type) wheels with chromed spokes.

May have had something to do with marketing and sales in the USA?

I agree on the Very evident appearance driven model changes causes by the US sales force. (Many of those not actually good for the design) Especially after I became aware that most of the production was coming to the States, at least later on. Sorry I have very little Pre-Unit years background. Theory doesn’t help answer a direct question.
Kind of surprised there hasn’t been more response by the folks that own them........

I asked a local fellow here, who replied that Yes he had them on a T110. Maybe he will comment....
“The 1957 t110 that I owned in the mid 60s had chrome spokes from the factory. ”

A friend of mine had a '57 T110 that his older brother bought new.
It had chrome spokes.

Yet, so far I can't find reference to them in any Triumph factory bulletin or parts book.
I would assume they had special parts numbers?

OK, what’s up here.....?
I’ve noticed this several times now: I get done with a reply, hit the “post” button, and get this error msg:
“ the posT has already been entered “. (In my words). I refresh, look, and it’s gone. &*76^$ydrVCGYY%^5 !!
