Ok, which side gets the thicker nut, D/S or T/S?
37-2014 vs 21-2013 in my parts book.
Cheers.

37-2014 is a brake arm?

21-2013 is the timing side (approx 5/16 thick)

For a 69. 70 should not be different, courtesy of Hermit

For 1970, order of assembly could be the same, but part numbers different, as 1970 went to "Unified" threads.

Could be wrong, but I show 21-2014 as D/S @7/16 thick

My 67 has the thinner nut on the timing side over the speedo gearbox. I thought it would be the same on a '70.

Thanks Dave.
I had taken a guess that the space between chainguard and damper to accommodate the brake rod would more likely need the wider gap.
But confirmation is a good thing. :-)
