Steve, it’s always a pleasure to have you around. I promised our “core” group that I wouldn’t put them through another “ large” event. Okay 20 people isn’t really that large but we mostly have 5-6 of us get together at a time....so for us this was large. I could have never pulled it off without their help.

We’re going to keep camping and everybody’s welcome.....Heck we let Marlin in. 😂

There was talk about a camp in October......and I’ve been considering Richards offer......When the time comes and the group agrees...we’ll post up details.

Glad you pulled out of that “on the grass” thing. Downhill left turns are what I fear most on my side car rig. Even reading your account made me nervous.

You take care... stay healthy.

Your friend in NC, Gordon

"Seed Tick Rd" - Been there and done it. East to west it got a crazy assed drop and turn to the left. As long as there is no sand its OK.

I know there are several of us Texans on bb.com, I hope to soon have my garage/shop/hangar complete, with all-weather road finished; THEN I can host a long weekend gathering. The good weather is coming soon, and I'm pushing hard to finish the building.

The roads right here in my neighborhood are GREAT, and generally low-traffic (sometimes NO traffic on weekdays). Even better, there are fantastic routes all through the Texas Hill Country that all basically start from my driveway. So many sites to see, BBQ to eat, and cool water to dip in...

Paul, when I first got out of the service I went into transmission power line construction. Did that for 10 years. I’ve lived all over Texas, the Hill Country was my favorite area. I lived/worked in New Braunfels and especially enjoyed the river.

I’d go back to visit if I had a chance.

Very diplomatic of you, Tom! My heart still races a bit when I think about it!

Film scans just in!

I began thread telling the story of my "new" camera over in the Rod & Tappet- but here are a couple pix for this thread too.

got a roll of color film and these B&W scans in as well. 2 different cameras. The color film was shot on an early 2000s Voigtlander (Cosina) 35mm rangefinder and the B&W film was shot on a 1970s east German camera bought on the black market in Poland during the Soviet era! Read all about it in my thread title A Gift over at the rod & tappet. More pix coming and I still have one more roll of film to send in too, with pix from the Camp.

Ok here's some color shots, which are largely of the Ducati gathering... again, on film, this film is Fuji Industrial Color 100- I've shot a lot of this and like it but these are the best colors I've gotten out of it to date. Put it down to that ol "blind squirrel/nut" thing, I guess. laugh

Actually, I'm going to credit the lens here. These were shot on my "modern" (early 2000s-ish?) Voigtlander 35mm camera. The lens is based on the company's earliest lens- same Heliar design from the late 1800s. It's not what you'd call a "fast" lens, with a maximum aperture of only f3.5, but this Voigltander lens is very nice and these shots are a direct reflection of its capabilities.

Actually shots not taken of Ducatis MAY have been shot with my Voigltander 40mm Nokton Classic lens? Dont recall exactly but I DO recall specifically using the f3.5 Heliar for shooting the bikes.

Okay it's been long enough?

DID ANYONE GET SICK??????

Greg was feeling a bit out of sorts before this started........probably stress from the event and the wedding. I missed a phone call from richrd yesterday? or the day before........did we dodge the bullet?

We kinda tried to do the right thing........but it was difficult.
