I have wired in a Smith's electronic speedo to the Cyclone and it works a treat, using a multi terminal block connector. The illumination is light years ahead pardon the pun), of the originals. I now would like to wire in the matching rev counter. Each unit comes with its own lead of 9 thin wall wires sheathed in pvc, entering the headlamp via the large grommet. I've now made a new loom using original coloured wires from www.vehiclewiringproducts.co.uk
So far, there are no bullet connectors used in the headlamp shell, and I've included a red wire to the battery
that connects to the mount bolt from a large eye. I would like each instrument to be independently removed if necessary, so don't wish to permanently join wires of each head together, rather use a common block with switched power connection to live and earth too. Any recommendations for doing this. I'm looking for a particular block type that is rugged dependable etc. Anyone else done this?
