Which year more specifically? By 69 the shuttle valve triumph forks were used, 67-68 had damper rods, some with QD spindle and 68 twin carb bikes had the clamp type.

Now let’s all have a beer beerchug

68’ A65 Lightning “clubman”
71’ A65 823 Thunderbolt (undergoing restoration)
67’ D10 sportsman (undergoing restoration)
68’ D14 trials (undergoing transformation)

A 1967 West Coast Hornet that the previous owner turned into a basket case. Then mixed up all the parts into the basket several the parts from other basket cases. When I get the forks a can start to reassemble it after hopefully selecting the correct parts. Then I can take it apart again and start all over.

Thanks for the tip I thought they were the same 66-70. Fortunately I ordered the one that Beach listed which is advertised as a1968.

It was a good buy I saw them and was tempted, had I not just found an identical NOS seat cover to replace the NOS one that’s decided to walk off to never to be seen again I’d have bought them yesterday. Still your need is greater than mine.

Now let’s all have a beer beerchug

68’ A65 Lightning “clubman”
71’ A65 823 Thunderbolt (undergoing restoration)
67’ D10 sportsman (undergoing restoration)
68’ D14 trials (undergoing transformation)

Ken, I don't know how got hold of a West Coast Hornet, but it's a rare model and well worthy of the work and cash you are willing to put into it.

Best wishes for your project!

THANK YOU; I HAVE BEEN VERY FORTUNATE IN MY ACQUISITIONS. IT WILL GO NICELY NEXT TO MY 57 SPITFIRE SINCE THEY BOTH HAVE THE LOW TT PIPES, AND WERE THE FIRST AND LAST YEARS FOR THE 650CC BSA SCRAMBLERS. I WILL DO MY BEST TO DO IT JUSTICE. IT WILL NOT MATCH GARY'S QUALITY GUT IT WILL BE COSMETICALLY VERY VERY CLOSE.

Ken,
Did that fork have dampers? Just thought about that. Wouldn't hurt to make sure.

Ken, my cousin mike had a very "hot" '67 Bonneville, thought he was king.

That is: until he ran against a '66 Hornet. Mike got smoked...BADLY.

Yep -- separate. That's the nature of the business I guess. For only another $88 shipped, you can have the rest of the package you may have thought you bought.

Fork damper rods & bodies with caps

'64 TR6R Plus some Twins from other countries (U.S., Germany, Japan)

That seems to be the trend now with the "bike butchers" these days...strip every last removable piece off even it is something that won't sell or is very minor. They strip cases down to the bone, etc..
