Does anybody out there have a photo of the location , mounting and hookup of the brake switch on a 1965 lightning/rocket?

Stevie, its a real bugger isn't it. I don't think they could have made the brake light switch operation more fiddley and complicated. Rounding up all the necessary pieces is a big job by itself, and if you have to replace that switch it is an expensive piece of kit. I think Sparx makes a repop one, but even it is comparably expensive. I redid the whole mess on my 1966 Spitfire rebuild about three years ago. Your post and Beach's photo prompted me to comment.

Thanks for the input, Fullminator, and the pic Beach. I think i got it now. I take it the brake pedal stop is actually the foot peg?

The stop is below the switch.there is a stud which holds the switch bracket and there is a set screw and lock nut that adjusts the brake pedal stop position.
