Well I am finally starting to go through my photos from this past BSA rally in August. I had a week with Gerry's family in Cornwall first then up to Geoff and Sara then to the Cotswolds.... I still have hundreds of images left after weeding out a lot .
I'll post a few special ones here as I sort through them.

Here are two that I like from Port Issac in Cornwall... Many more to come... But it might be slow.

One of the many great experiences was meeting up with Geoff and Sara at their house and having a home cooked meal straight from the garden.... Gerry and I are inspired to grow our own veggies now too. [Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

These are from Gerry's phone.
As soon as we got to Geoff and Sara's we went to have dinner with Brian and Marie. It was so yummy that neither of us have photos of the actual dinner but afterward we went outside to their lovely garden. Had great conversation and did some catching up.

Other photos are from that nice little village where we had a drink and the picturesque drive back home to G & S 's to get the bikes ready for our journey to the rally

He does JD

Here is another one from my big camera from a museum we all went to in the Cotswolds. Mr. Wade's house.... And interesting collection of hand made things... Some crazy things for sure . Taking up his whole house even when he was alive. He lived in the small house next to the mansion. But the gardens were magical

Starting at the beginning... That week in Cornwall with Gerry's family is always nice... Maybe my favorite place on earth... Except now they turned the garage into another apartment for guests... That could have been where I parked the Brit bikes.... (in my dreams)

Still a nice little spot on the south west coast of England the I get to see every once in a while. Walks on the cliffs. Local pubs... A little sand and a little relaxation after a BBQ.

Once we got to the rally in Morton on Marsh we were delighted to meet Geoff and Sara's daughter , son in law and their kids. who had set up the whole campsite including ours. What a sweet thing to do and sure helped Gerry roll right into the whole roughing it thing.
Although we werent exactly roughing it. That Land Rover is pulling a lot of gear and a full on kitchen.

This was the Bindleys TP with wood fire and all . We were just fine in our normal tent just like everyone else. There was also a mess tent were we gathered to talk , eat and socialize . You will see that in photos as I edit and post..

There was plenty to see . BSAs and more . First day was an open day for anyone on anything to come and visit

The BSA car was our camping neighbor . A friend of the Hewitts

This was my bike for the rally and our tent... The bike (and the tent) performed flawlessly ...
In fact that's why I want one now

Your mystery bike looks like an alternator B33 fittted with a Gol Star top end ( OR OTHER WAY ROUND ) .
The thing on the end of the timing cover will be an inductive pick up for a wasted spark ignition.
These breathe throuhg the timing cover so the tube at the top is the breather.
having fitted an alternator & inductive EI there is no need for the magdyno which has been removed and the uneeded section of the timing cover cut short.
Quite a nice piece of handiwork.
I do not think their was ever an alternator GS but I am sure some one will correct me if that is wrong.
Without the maggy drive there is nothing to drive a chronometric tacho so it looks like he has turned an old tacho case into a dash panel

Nice photos.
Thanks for sharing.

M20's are a little thin on the ground in the USA but there is currently a bogy bobber on eBay at a reasonable price.
Just remember that the smaller slower bikes are not particularly suited to modern city traffic.
My m20 will sit on 70 mph all day but push it much over that & you pay for it big time so not really suited for transcontinential runs.
