Hello Guys.
I bought a 530 heavy duty chain made by rk. The width of my chain is 22.9 N0m or .9015" My question is what size of chain properly fits a 57 DB 34 with 3/8 sprockets. I was told to watch that the chain doesn't rub on the chain case. Thanks Jeff in Canada

I went down to 520 sprockets and fitted an "O" ring chain which is the same width as a standard 530 chain. Plenty space

The width is valid concern. I also went to 520 chain, which allows a better range of modern chains that fit, of which there are some very tough 520 sizes.

No generalisation is wholly true, not even this one.
