I see photos of Triumph 650's mounted side by side with one motor reversed, any one know how they get the reversed motor to run backwards. Heads and cylinders, ignition are easy to change what about camshafts?

Thanks for twin engine reply, your answer to dial in camshafts mean that most are ground symmetrical,up ramps are identical to down ramps. Your comment would be appreciated

I've seen some two engine Triumphs but not as you describe. Anyone have a photo?

Vintage bike has had more than a couple side by side engine Triumphs in past issues...one only a couple issues ago I think or was that Classic Bike? Getting old sucks.

Must of been Classic Bike Guide. Still can't find an genuine online photo of a side by side Triumph or a unicorn or Bigfoot.

"twin engined triumph twins"

At risk of being called a pedant (not for the first time).

Shouldn't this thread be called "twin engined triumph fours"

Surely a twin engined triumph twin would have two single cylinder engines?

John

Thanks for the photo Hillbilly bike. the reversed motor running backwards than normal is what I am inquiring about. If anyone has info on the cam selection and setup, engine phasing all would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes, thanks. I knew it must have been done - I just never saw one or a photo even. Now I have!

eBay has a 66 November Cycle magazine with the Leppan bike featured, buy it for Christmas, 15 bucks, might answer some questions...

Here's one which showed up at BIBR back in 2015. Metal Flake Herb built it.

Herb lives in Winter Park, Florida. I have no contact information, but he shows up at the Blue Ridge Rally every year.
