Does anyone know where I can get a Speedometer for a tr25w speedometer?

I was close at getting on on eBay from the UK but I was outbid.

I checked all of the typical sources but no results.

It’s part number D1926.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

If its the small grey face speedo, try a search for Smiths part no SSM 2001/02, which should be the same. These are easy to find.

I’ve checked every company on this forum and I googled it and could only find one and it’s like 300 bucks.

That’s a bit too rich for me.

If anyone hears about one, please let me know. I should have been more aggressive on eBay. Darn!

Thanks

The Mountain Cub and other sports Cubs used a similar speedo, although these are 80MPH. here is one for sale in Aus, you should be able to get one cheaper in the US:

Mine is an 80 mph one also. It’s broken, I wish when I tried to fix it I knew more about them.

I’ll keep looking.

Thanks for the info.

I found a reproduction for 28 bucks. But I’m still looking for an original that works.

Thanks

Speedo repair is going to be at least $150 I would have thought. Might be worth prising the bezel off, unscrew the inner workings and having a look to see if its just got dirt inside. If so blow it all out and see if you can get it working. very carefully try to move the needle, it might just be stuck. Its not actually connected to the mechanism, just moves via a magnet. I have done this successfully a couple of times. You should be able to buy a new bezel or re-use yours if you haven't damaged it. they are put on originally using a rolling tool, but you can usually do it yourself. Its hidden by the speedo bracket anyway.

What year is your Tr25W? The small speedo you're looking for was only used on the 68, earlier 69 models.

I believe it’s a 68.

I broke the lens and it’s in pretty bad shape.

There are a few in the UK on eBay that I’m going to bid on.

Wish me luck
