Hello:

I have sent off an original 1958 Woodsman exhaust to have a new pipe made.

If there is any interest from forum members I may have extra sets made.

I do not know a cost yet, but should know soon.

The pipes can be either in bare steel or chromed.

Regards,

Rick T

Hi!
Any ideas as to the costs, bare vs. Chrome?... Main concern is for the bends being right... My Woodsman came with a low pipe...incorrect, I'm sure!!! I would prefer the original high pipe.

Unchromed about $60.Chromed about $160 (approximates).

Hitchcocks or Armours don't already have something like that ?

[Linked Image from accessories.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com]

I wouldn't know these pipes if I tripped over one, but thought I'd throw that in.
I have thought of fitting something similar to a prewar project, there are a surprisingly
large variety of such bits on fleabay from various vendors, and with a minor cut-n-weld....

Neither Hitchcocks or Armours has.

I have seen some really cobbled cut up examples at shows.

Hoping for something that is show quality.

Hi, Rick!
That was my findings, as well. Hitchcock has by far the best products (IME), & ideal for later Bullets, but not quite right for the Indian Woodsman (so far).. Count me in for one of each if you get enough interest.

I will let you know when I get the first pipe back I will need to test fit and get it chromed.

If Armour's actually make one (and it's like their other reproduction pipes) I'll bet that one wouldn't fit either.

I would be interested in buying one, but I would want a bare one with a separate mounting bracket so I could fit both parts to each other myself, with the parts mounted on the bike individually.
But keep in mind that the bike in the picture above has a '57 muffler. The '58 used a full-length slightly TAPERED muffler.
