I think this is a 65 frame and 67 motor, but I would have to look up the numbers to be sure. but I need to make room in the shop so make me an offer

The frame is an early 64’ Lightning Rocket. In front of the coil mounts you see a spot welded tab. This was used to mount the unique metal side covers
I’m looking for pair of those tabs if anyone has them or want to drill out the welds

The back of the frame appears to have loop weld to it make look like a Star. At the left front of the frame no tab with a hole for the ignition key. That came later

You might check the frame number

i agree its a pre 65 frame. and its going to say A50 XXX so how do u know its a Lightning Rocket and not a 500? gonna need to count the barrel fins. and see the engine numbers

The frame is for twin carb 650 lightning rocket the different tabs were used to mount the steel side covers unique to the LR. The LR was BSAs first twin carb A65. I assume to compete with the Triumph Bonnevillins

Might be wrong I don’t think a twin carb 500 was offered in 64. The 65’ frame uses mounts for fiberglass covers.
