I don't get it. One year I go to the site early and they are not yet selling tickets (never mind that the RV sites are already sold out.)
Now I go there and everything is sold out! If I can't camp on site I ain't going.

Hey Bill
I asked for pit space on the 4th level. I think Steve and Scott are looking to go there too. Have you sent in for yours yet?

Sorry Bill, I don't race. Though I did ride pretty fast when I was young and dumb. Maybe I could walk around with a C wrench in my pocket and be somebody's 'crew chief.'
I bought my event tickets. They always seem to magically come up with more camping at the last minute. Probably just to suck another 'service charge' from your order.

Still no word on camping. That doesn't stop them from bugging me to upgrade to Ace Corner.

David, just tell 'em you're Gumby's mechanic, and camp with the racers. Who's to know??

But then I'd have to try to make a Firebird do stupid human tricks.

I'm up to #3 on the waiting list. What's next? Do they open bidding for camping spots to see how much more money they can drag out of us?

Got a call from some guy in Wisconsin about buying his camping pass today. Hope it's legitimate.
This weekend is getting way too expensive! $150 for the chance of finding a few parts at the swap meet. Probably be my last year attending.

Camping pass is in the mail. Apparently that's how Barber handles the waiting list. Anyone who has already bought a pass and can't attend is given phone numbers from the list to call. Time to change the oil in Mr Jim. laugh

I'm stoked. Got my pass for the B lot.
Should be arriving early afternoon on Thursday.
Probably try to find a spot at the bottom. Maroon Ford van, black T120V, stop in for a beer. laugh

Had a great time, even with the heat. Great racing and swap meet. I found enough parts to build the Amals to put on Zelda and I bought a real service manual for Mr Jim.
Finally got some precious rain on Saturday night while I was partying with the Nashville Ton Up crowd.
The only thing I didn't do was ride, except around the park. Just too much to do and see.
