From the Hotlinks, thanks to Franko.
Does anyone care to discuss the three Enfields?
Any pros or cons to one over the others?
Cheers!

2nd try at responding. I cannot attach a link here to the bikes, but search for DGW Auctioneers and go to lots 90,93, 96. The 1969 Series II is #1733 and I know its early history because #1734 lives here. They were built and crated in July 1969, then stored in a stack at the end of the assembly hall. The stack was the background for the photo shoot for the "We only supply the bike" ad. The ads were grainy but Burton Bike Bits has posted the original photos on their site, and they show much better detail. #1733 is out of the photo frames but we can deduce it is there from data in the dispatch records. It is in the 3rd row up, 4th column from the left. Both bikes were dispatched to Gateway Distributors of Winnipeg Manitoba in March 1970 as motorcycle production was wound down. No idea how 1733 traveled so far to California.
Frame and engine numbers for all 3 Interceptors are on the auction site, and are original pairings from the factory. All are incomplete, as stated, but viable projects in my view, just not a choice for rank beginners. We know nothing about the engine internals and it would be wise to plan on total rebuild. Particular attention to the seals on the oil feeds to the cranks. This forum and the Interceptor forum on Yahoo Groups are the places to go for advice. REOC in England has full dispatch data and I can provide some of it for the Series 1 and Series 1-A if asked.

Any one of them would be a great project, IF someone already had a collection of spare tanks, seats, mudguards,gauges,etc.etc.
But add the auction premium of 18% for cash/check, any shipping ( minimum $150? and up depending on distance) and and these broken toys get expensive real quick.
If they were within driving distance I'd be interested, but sadly they are not.
