Hi, just seen an interesting T160 on UK eBay
that has had the gear change converted to RHS for the apparent reason of achieving a much slicker gear change, which seems a reasonable expectation as you are effectively reducing the components involved in the process ?
Has anyone here done that conversion and if so did it achieve the desired effect and what was involved technically to do the changeover ( disregard the rear brake relocation as that looks fairly straight forward ).
Am I correct in assuming that the T160 gearbox is inherently the same as the T150 who's gear change was RHS as standard and that the change on the T160 to LHS was largely a marketing move to satisfy the American demand ?
The same bike also had a very impressive / expensive set of CV Carbs fitted that certainly looked a tidy set up.
