Hi Morgan; I do not want to be a pain in the arse but the "search" function is COMPLETELY USELESS. EVEN putting the SAME title do not find it but put whatever thread that have NOTHING to do with what you are looking for.
Again; no matter if you really put the same title that the poster wrote...
I am trying without success to ask a question to the poster of a thread and is impossible to find the thread and in Internet I find it but like an old forum (is from 2018) so I cannot log in in that page (I do not know why the "log in" thingy do not appears)

Thanks

Give me an example of what you are searching for and what you actually typed into the form instead of just saying its useless.
We do forum upgrades from time to time and sometimes a bug can appear.

The old board is deleted from the internet due to security risk. Old pages can remain old other search machines like google.
Those pages did not have a login link as it was closed in 2005-6 if I remember correctly.

Here is an example:

As mentioned, if I write the name of that thread in this new platform do not appears anything remotely associated...

Thanks

Think you have to put strings in quotes for the exact match:

"Wiring Diag. '71 T120 Neg Grd LED Lights"

Else it will return anything with any 1 of those words somewhere in the post.

HTH
Cheers.

Yep , what hugh said ...

When i put " quotes " around that exact title
The search finds that single title
... if you dont use the quotes ... things like led and wiring , or negitive ground ...are added a found list of hundreds of possibilities

link to searched for page

.

This is correct Hugh.

If you hoover the cursor over the question mark ? then you see below text, if you don't know the exact phrase then use + infront of ea word you know, if you know the exact phrase then put it inside these mark " "
easy when you know it.. wink

Advanced Search Tips
• Separate words with spaces, not commas.
• Use +keyword for required keywords.
• Use -keyword to exclude posts containing a keyword.
• Use quotes around a phrase to search for exact phrase.
• Use of multiple keywords without any parameters will return results for any all or just some of the keywords.
