Is there any interest in a campiing-riding weekend at my place the last weekend in September? Since MikeG's isn't happening in PA. Something like the "Brits on the hill". Good roads around here...

Dude, NOW you tell us... mad

Just as I'm about to use up the very last of this year's vacation time from the Hell Hole, Dagnabit man... frown

I'll be missing the strong coffee, the eating, the bloody good company, and all the laughs. Worse of all, I'll be missing the *Search for the Man with No Name* Rally. Not only don't people know your name, they don't know WHERE y'all are.... laughing

Sounds like it's gonna be a blast dude, get it on the road and have fun, take plenty of photos so I can be there on a screen after the event... thumbsup

1st weekend in Oct. is okay also. Address is 26950 Rutherford Rd. Albany Ohio. This is near Athens Ohio. On Google maps you can see my tennis court and barn roof. Not much else.
I know I typed "Checking". I think. This is a long way from New England but with no one state ride maybe think about it eh? Long way from old England too. Shaun, hopefully someone will come. Someone willing to take photos and post them

Thanks Bill -

Five hours and 23 minutes....hmmmm....that sounds doable with a trailer. I don't have my bike modified for long-distance riding like Semper Gumby...

OK, who else can we rope into this little shin-dig?!

Shaun lad, don't forget the CEE-gars!

Cheers,

Steve

Just checked for travel insurance, because of our ages & my few health issues the robbing b'stards want more than twice the air fare cost for a short trip
So I guess we will just have to remember 2014 and the house in the woods

[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

and wait words & pics from whoever takes up on Bill's Wonderful Woodland Weekend

Nice shot Bryan. Wish you could come back. So far not much interest. Plenty of room here for trailers. Most of you aren't close enough to ride here for just a a couple of days. But you're welcome to anyway. Or for one day. Welcome if we've never met also.

It's a part of the country I want to ride again Bill. Last time was in 2008. I'm working toward having lots more free time in a year. This working for a living has got to go!

Google does not show the exact location.
Bill's place is about 1.6 kilometer further west along Rutherford Road from the Google location marker. The tennis court shows very clearly together with the barn etc

This is my excuse and I'm sticking to it.....There's this house in it's final stages of a long build and it's owner getting anxious and racing at Barber the first weekend of October. Difficult decisions.
With any luck, in a couple years I'll be like you, Bill. Living the retired life....

I understand Mike. No excuse necessary though. Reverb, you're welcome here. Not much surfing in Ohio though.

Ah damn man...

Not sure that weekend will work for me... I still have hopes of getting down to the beach for The Race Of Gentlemen 1st weekend in October September is sort of insanely busy. Earlier this year, I couldn't get a gig to save my soul. Now I can't get a day off to save my soul! See what religion gets you? So much for "saving" my soul, eh, guys? LOL kidding of course and it's nice to be busy... trouble is there's all this motorhead/car/bike stuff stacked atop all this work stuff! Nice problems to have, I guess.... tough decision making tho!

So far we have about four semi-firm attendees. To clarify, I'm talking about Friday to Sunday October 4th-6th so Steve can make it. Says he's only 5 hundred and thirty or so miles away.

Hey Bill, I would love to make it, but I'll be in Japan, unless you want to move the ride over there.

Well, it looks like Gene (HillbillyBarr) for one. Another nearby friend you don't know, Jared. Ron and Rich are interested but no firm word. I guess you are less than 500 miles away but still a pretty good haul. There are Ohio guys on here I haven't met but would like to. Also Rob Strain if he can get his haying done. No word from Kevin who is about 100 miles off. Come for a day or the weekend...
