A friend of mine was building a Norton to go vintage racing before he passed away. I ended up with a pile of really trick race parts to build a bike.
I am missing a few pieces that I hope to find without bleeding to badly. I'll never race this thing, so I want to build it with the OEM electric starter.
The correct Mark lll cases, crank, trans and frame came in the pile of parts. The main things I need are:
Inner and outer primary's, stator mount, sprag clutch assy and primary drive sprocket (I have all the rest of the tensioner assembly)
One inner primary is available on eBay, but I'd like to buy all in one place if possible.
Thanks
Sam

Sam, I think I have a primary drive sprocket for the MKIII. If you still need one, I will check for you.

I remembered last Friday that a good friend of mine bought a Mk lll as a project nearly 20 years ago.
I called him and he's more than anxious to get rid of it
It's about 75% complete, but he thinks some of the primary internals may be missing.
I need the rest of it any way, it has the primary's and a lot of other pieces that I'm missing.
I'll get back to you later in the week after I pick up the pile of parts.
Thanks for your reply.
Sam

I bought the pile of Norton electric parts from my friend.
He did have a very nice set of primary's, but I still need the primary drive sprocket and the bracket that holds the stator (Norton calls it a plate outrigger).
I think I have most of the tensioner mechanism and I'll buy a new sprag clutch.
I also need a correct Mk lll timing cover ( I did get a nice estart engine but it's missing the correct timing cover).
Can you or anyone Help me with these pieces?
Thanks
Sam

Hello Sam,
I had a look around and determined I have the following items which may interest you:
- p/n 06-4681 MKIII engine sprocket, used
- p/n 06-6392 MKIII headlight control module, new

Sorry I do not have a spare timing cover or any of the other bits you listed. Good idea to go for a new sprag: but, be sure you get one of the latest ones having 18 rollers

If the above items are of interest, please follow up with a PM.

.. Gregg
