How does a B25 steel tank look on a 68 441 Starfire
My expensively professionally lined fiberglass tank is leaking fuel at bottom seam.
BSA unit singles is selling a steel Indian made tank for $500!

Should look just fine. I believe BSA went away from fiberglass tanks in '69 or '70 so a B25 from those years would have a similar steel tank. There are chrome trim pieces to cover the seam on top and a center piece which holds the trim pieces in place and holds the rubber bush for the tank center mount. I doubt the trim pieces and center piece will be provided with your tank but at the price you were quoted they should be. A tank of the same appearance was also used on the twins of that vintage. I have seen original tanks (and sold a few) for less than what your talking for a repop.

Fits fine, seats are the same B25 and B44 Shooting Star. Its only the engine capacity that's different. Your other option is the B44 Victor Special alloy tank, bit small at 2 gal but will not dissolve.
