Question:

If a boat is a hole in the water that you pour money into, what is a vintage bike?

A vintage bike can be owned by those who are parsimonious, a boat should be rented, amongst other things that should be rented.

Ah yes, the 3 F's rental policy...
2 of the F's are Fly and Float...
Forum decorum prevents me from identifying the third...

Speaking of renting, I rented a motorcycle one time, a Harley Dyna Low Rider. The agency also had Gixxers, but I couldn't see myself on one in Panama City during bike week, my full face helmet was bad enough, the only one seen for days. Sorry about the beer belly, I grew my gut specifically for PC, this was 2007, I'm like 40 lbs lighter now, seriously, no joke. Anyway, that's the Low Rider, the red bike is my daughter's Dyna Wide Glide, stopping in Mexico Beach after breakfast at the Fish Shack.

A vintage or classic bike is a method of conveyance which gives joy to the owner when riding and satisfaction when maintaining and repairing said vehicle. Also the restoration and conservation of the machine is vital in demonstrating the value and excellence of these machines that far exceed that of modern motorcycles. The skills and knowledge that the owner and repairer gain are greatly needed in todays throw away society and all classic motorcycle owners should be held up as a shining example of how we should lead our lives and be as an example to others.
So there!

Nice photo,

Well-framed, and no wasted sky or foreground. Just enough periphery to catch the fact that you are in a wooded area near the beach. Didn't chop off the front tire.

Good photography.

The only time I ever rode a Hardly.

Mexico Beach ... wonder how/if it has recovered. Search terms: "mexico beach fl hurricane"

https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=mexico+beach+fl+hurricane

For example: https://www.tampabay.com/florida/20...-a-crossroads-still-broken-from-michael/

"As hurricane season looms, Mexico Beach idles at a crossroads, still broken from [hurricane] Michael ..."
