Getting ready to tear down my wm20. did a ground up build in India in 1994 and brought it back. ran for a few years and then garaged for 15. Got it started last year for a while, but then clutch started slipping (maybe just adjustment).

Friend recommended doing a complete tear down and sending the drivetrain off for a full rebuild.

Anyone know:

1) if this is a good idea and
2) good shops with this experience out west (we are in UT).

Thanks,

Joe

Start by adjusting the clutch!

I don’t “tear down” machines that work.

I just saw this. Man, limit your scope a little bit. I sure don't understand pulling it clear apart and sending stuff off somewhere.

If anyone wants to charge to fettle a clutch on an old beezer then you are being ripped off, unless it’s someone who’s come round to your garage and spending a couple of hours then fair enough but help off here and the manual will give you more than enough info to set it up
