Single, left-sided as found on an A50 Thunderbolt. I've not seen a right-sided version. Oops, I mean Royalstar.

Right, it's in the UK so probably off a home machine. The original A65/50 manual drawings don't feature a 500cc Thunderbolt, but it does look like it's on the 650, and certainly looks as though it's on the Hornet (RH). I thought at first that the large hole was for fork top mounting, but realise that this bracket will fit most A65/50 bikes with just one clock.

Update- found it on the parts list, it is at the top of the page in its own box. You are quite right it's for the single carb Thunderbolt.

If the speedo housing is steel, that will give you an idea of the year..

Later models (perhaps 67/68- 70) used a rubber housing rather than the steel cup

Looks like Royal Star / Thunderbolt models with single gauge
