Hi.
My 57 Venom broke down and it turns out that the cams are spinning in the cam wheel. Should they be a press fit and if so I would have thought that they would be attached in a more positive manor. Is this a common problem and is there a fix without buying new parts? After looking it seems that the new cams and cam wheel are sold separately so if I buy new I would have to get them fitted together. Am I correct and if so what is the procedure for fitting them together?
Thanks everyone,
Stuart.

The cam is held in place by a tapered press fit.If you place the cam tapered portion into the tapered cam wheel it should only go about 1/2 way through.
If it goes a long way through then you have little press fit and will need to get new components.
A vise or press will be sufficient to push the cam in flush to the back of the cam wheel.
Note:You will probably have to dial the cam in using a degree wheel .

Hi. Thanks for the quick reply and the information. Mine goes all the way in so it has worn the taper when it spun. Time to get the credit card out. Regards, Stuart.
