Hey guys
I have a 1970 T100S that is my latest project. It has high pipes which i really like the look of, but have a challenge with the tachometer drive position. With the current angle, the tach cable is forced to make a sharp bend to pass the RH high exhaust pipe. When i got the bike, the tach did not work and soon found out why... the inner cable was broken right at the sharp bend.

Can I change the angle of the tach drive and if so, how?

As I remember you would remove the slotted cap screw, remove the gear with a magnet to reveal a hexagon head to loosen. Check in the manual if you have one or look on classicbike.biz for free online manuals.

Yes you can adjust or alter the angle of the unit itself

Remove the side cap and pull the internal gears.. once done you can stick the proper size socket and loosen the bolt

Like TJD stated, a LH thread bolt will be present

From there you can adjust the pitch of the unit
