Hi

FYI
I have set up for testing google adverts live here on Britbike forum.

You can see the on the forum upper left and also at the bottom.
The ads will remain there in June and then I will evaluate.

And on an iPhone annoyingly taking up too much space across the entire top and with a too-small 'x' making it impossible to close them. Morgan, it's a serious annoyance to have ads dropping over things I'm trying to read and flashing for my attention. Please, please get rid of them.

What model are you using? I use a 5S and am experiencing same thing regarding the upper side.
I will keep it for a while sand test to see if I can get rid of that top x
Thanks for your input

I think I have removed that top advert that "popped" up when scrolling.

It's gone from my iPhone. Thanks very much for removing it. It was surprisingly annoying, all the more so since none of the ads that blocked my reading were for anything I have the slightest interest in. Google targeted the ads that appeared on my iPhone for someone who definitely wasn't me.

Mr. Morgan

I'm not impressed with ad's for Senior Dating. I've been married 40 + years, don't need or want no dating service. In fact the only ad's I'm interested in are from Forum Sponsors.

I hear you Tracey, have big seen those ads my self. As I have mentioned above I’m testing. It’s a learning curve to see what can be done.

Google loves you Kevin, or more accurately it loves your meta-data.

Posting on an old iPad 2 Morgan and haven't seen a Google ad yet. Also use iPhone5 and would not like to see the screen clouded by any ads except for our sponsors.

I hear you too.. those ads is not my favor either. I'm still testing and working on it.

At the moment ads will show at the bottom and for some between post 1 and 2. Testplan now is to drop the ads in the bottom and keep between post 1 and 2.
Upgraded members will not see any, only non login and basic members.

Then of course content of ads is another issue.

I have now removed the banner at the bottom.
There is one between post 1 and 2 in threads however
It should only be visible to non login user and basic members with a free account.

Premium & Life Premium members as well as Vendors, Site sponsors and Moderators should not see these.

See for your self above here. there is a light yellow and a light blue area the advert should be between those areas if you are a non login user and basic members with a free account.

From now there is a small 234x60 ad up top in the left column under a word from... This one should be for all visitors do you see it??? Which is your status basic member premium member or life premium member???

There is also one ad that is shown when you read a thread. This one should only be visible for non login users or basic members but not premium members etc..

Let me know if this is all you see.. I don't want ads to be seen elsewhere at this point.

As can be seen from the screen shots from my iPhone, ads appear even though I am logged in. I'm not looking for a wedding ring, don't own an import truck, and am not looking for a job, so the ads are nothing but annoying.

It’s getting much worse. Now, instead of one ad at the top there are a half-dozen embedded ads in my iPhone, basically doubling the length I have to scroll through to find anything.

MM it is a bit strange that ads are only seen on iPhone and not desktop..

Google are back for some more testing, I found a setting that I changed. to avoid above
If it works then there will only be one advert between 1st & 2nd post in a thread and it will only be seen when not login and when login for basic member accounts. NOT Premium accounts.
well see how it works. It takes some time for google to update the settings its not instant.
thanks for your feedback
