Just think, a complete 105 year old motorcycle. I hope it's for real; the tempting ones are sometimes scams.

If you were good with a welder and a few machine tools, though ... ! 'Cause parts ain't out there any more ...

Wow - I wonder how that would do in the Cannonball? Good thing I have even less spare cash than I have sense, I would love to grab that.

Of interest to me,.... The bike had control cables as we know them,..... If original. So many of the interesting multitude of offerings from that period did the job with links and universal joints that are fascinating to look at. I always wonder how the engineering brains figured those things out, made them work, and had no other examples to use as a standard. Cables weren't the norm.
Back before the Otis Chandler collection broke up, a couple of us went down a few times to look over the huge array. I believe every state in the union had at least 1 or more "motorcycle" produced there, and sometimes named as such. Where'd they all go!?

Down to 1 BSA, 2 Triumphs, 1 '56 Chevy
1 '65 XLCH, Hernia Gift, on the way to Japan!

I don't know anything about Levis motorcycles, so the cables may be stock, but on the other hand think how long 105 years is! 4 generations of people have had time to be "Damned Previous Owners" and may have done a few upgrades from the rods and ball joints and clevises that most bikes used back then ...

I'm sure that there are Levis fanatics who know, though.

It looks like the cables are original as opposed to the links and joints - from what it looks like Norton were using cables around the same time as well.

It's hard to tell whether something "looks" original or not when it's that damn old. On a 50's bike, maybe .... but the UPGRADE could be 90 years old and look like it came from an Egyptian pyramid ....

You're right in that all the old photos DO show cables sprouting from the handlebars ...

I love the grill to keep the birds out of the horn as your tearing around at 4.5 mph.
