What a great study .
And Great questions .
What is the cost benefit of getting ... falling down drunk ... as opposed to other forms of intoxication ?

And how much regret do you feel afterwards ?

Something I too have thought about at times Shaun.
In another life I've been in all sorts of pubs, bars & dives in the City of London, mostly mid day but sometimes of an evening. Though I saw all manner of weird & wonderful concoctions at some weird & wonderful prices never did I see anyone consuming Binge.

Reminds me of a police report I once saw. A woman had been found murdered. When they discovered her body, the knife was in her yet. Still trying to figure out where the "yet" is on the human body! wink

The correct answer is "It's the guys from that other country that drink lots more than us". I have a friend from Poland who swears that a Russian will drink anything with alcohol in it any time of day.

The British Army and Royal Navy used to function more than adequately whilst under the influence of alcohol, as did much of British industry.
